Stating that he had written a letter to Governor Jagannath Pahadia, Chautala said he had also sought a fresh girdawari in the state to assess the extent of loss to crops, besides financial compensation of Rs. 25,000 per acre for the farmers.

The INLD leader further sought a compensation of Rs. 5,000 per acre for farmers using diesel pump sets due to the unavailability of water and electricity.

“Corruption is rampant at all power plants across the state. The government should provide adequate electricity supply,” Chautala added.

Highlighting the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, the INLD leader, said, “It is shocking that while

developed countries across the world are shutting down their nuclear power plants, the Congress government is setting up one in the Fatehabad district despite strong opposition by the farmers.”

Condemning the collapse of law and order situation, he alleged, “It is evident from the recent violence at the Maruti plant in Manesar which was pre-planned and the police failed to avert the incident.”

Alleging that corruption was rampant, he said, “The additional principal secretary to Hooda during a meeting with DCs and SPs stated that officers were openly demanding bribe.”
