In his plaint Yadav has accused Sharma of leveling ‘false, malicious and unfounded allegations’ against him at a press conference at Bhopal on December 22.

Drawing inferences from the statements of Sharma as carried by newspapers, he said that allegations leveled against him were of serious nature and Sharma had no evidence to prove what he had stated.

Sharma had reportedly said that Yadav’s spinning mill had been unduly favoured by the Cooperatives Department leading to a profit of Rs 3 crore to the mill and loss of the same amount to the Apex Bank, where Yadav had been the Chairman of the Board of Directors for years.

Sharma had allegedly further said that mafia was still ruling the roost in the cooperative sector in the state and Subhash Yadav had eaten into vitals of the cooperative movement like a termite. Yadav prayed the court to register an offence against Sharma under Section 500 of the IPC and award him maximum punishment for deliberately defaming a person of high repute. Complainant’s witnesses will depose before the court on Saturday.
