A large number of students under the banner of National Student Union of India took out a rally from Mama College to Bikram chowk. The students were carrying banners and raising slogans against the Delhi government. The students also criticised the Delhi Police for their failure to check such ghastly acts.

"It is shameful that women are not safe in a country. The culprits should be given exemplary punishment that can serve as a deterrent for others," said Aatisha Dutt.

The students blocked roads and demanded justice for the gangrape victim and capital punishment for the culprits.
