So many accidents and incidents of road rage happen everyday due to lack of proper education and the inherent boorishness of Delhiites.

So many times people cut into my way or get into a fight. One day, I was on the expressway with my wife when three men on a motorcycle jumped into my lane. They looked at us and started laughing. The traffic situation is worsening by the day.

I do not understand why people start fighting at the slightest provocation. Things are not so bad in Mumbai.

The law has taken a backseat here. The roads are always clogged. There is no system here, nor is anyone ready to follow it.

Why look at the US and other western countries when we have the example of China next door? China is more populous than India but still it has almost perfect traffic. People follow rules, the roads are well maintained and those who violate traffic rules are dealt with seriously. They have even managed to improve the roads in their rural areas and smaller cities.

A cricketer, Wassan played for the Delhi and India teams.
