Delhi citizens once again proved equal to the task of facing the evil of 'terror' head-on. People have ensured that communal harmony in the Capital is intact.
So even as some reactionary forces were blaming the Delhi Government and police administration amid murmur of 'terror' after the twin blasts struck the Jama Masjid on Friday, this young fellow, Javed, 23, an eyewitness, would like to serve as a peace-monger.
"Instead of shouting slogans against the police, they should denounce the terrorists. Terrorists are neither Hindus nor Muslims."
Meanwhile, the Imam Bukhari was appealing to the people to maintain calm, blaming the police for "double standards". "Muslims are being hounded day in and day out, in the name of hunting down militants," he said.
Another eyewitness, Azmal Ali, believed "Whatever is happening in the country in name of religion is quite deplorable. Terrorists have no religion."

{{/usCountry}}Even as people were shouting slogans, "Delhi police hai hai", -- the low intensity blasts that ensured "minimum injury", four to five, eyewitnesses showed little signs of panic.
Soon, people were allowed to go in and Namaz resumed. While police refused to comment on the suspects, leading to the confusion, the arrival of local MLA Shoeb Iqbal and police commissioner KK Paul soothed the frayed nerves.
While shops resumed, normalcy seemed to return to the area. Still, police are taking no chances. A Red Alert has been sounded in the Capital.
Says shopkeeper at Gate No. 1, Rizwan, "I am relieved. The damage is really negligible." You can imagine the (low) intensity. The blast, that took place near the pillar in the middle of the mosque near the tank where Muslims go for ablution before Namaz, has failed to even destroy it (pillar).
