'Designs for men don't get credit'

You & other two models created news in 2004 by walking out of LIFW, what happened?
LIFW did not take the male models seriously that year. As a result some of the male models were deprived from basic facilities like boarding, food and even travel. I felt strongly about this, decided to take a stand and speak up.

I knew I would be heard in the fashion week and that's exactly what happened. With me, two other fellow models Ajay Balhara & Aditya Bal too put their foot down. Things did change after that; and male models got their due credit. I got a call from IFW this year and saw no reason not to accept their offer.

What are your thoughts on creations showcased at LIFW / IFW?
I think designers, who create creations and designs for men, are not given due credit. Also some of the young designers' creations that I have seen are not up to the mark.

Any bolt from the blue moments on/off the ramp….
After my show in Delhi, a girl came up and kissed me without saying anything and I could do nothing. May be because she was cute!

Any one specific fashion brand that you would like to work with?
I would love to endorse Armani.

What next now after modeling & music videos?
I see modeling as a profession and not as a way of living. I never wanted to be a model but destiny has few things in store for you so I had to give in. I am just waiting to sign up a movie, which has me playing the lead role. People say I am a good actor and I can dance well, so I am already a star for myself. But you guys will see me shine very soon.
