Despite charged atmosphere between India and Pakistan on Line of Control, it was business as usual for traders and travellers on both the sides of LoC, in North Kashmir's Uri sector of Baramulla district.
The Carvan-e-Aman bus service, operating between the two parts of Kashmir every week, drove as usual taking 11 people to Muzaffarabad on Monday afternoon.
Last Friday, Pakistan stopped trade and bus service from the Poonch side of LoC owing to the tension after the two neighbouring countries accused each other's armies of killing soldiers near the border.
"The bus crossed peace bridge (Aman Setu) as usual to drop passengers on the other side of Kashmir. The service was working on last Monday (Jan 07) as well," said GA Khawaja, deputy commissioner of Baramulla district.
On January 06, Pakistan accused Indian army of killing their soldier on LoC in the Uri sector and two days later India charged Pakistan army of killing their two soldiers by crossing LoC in Poonch sector.
After the suspension of trade and travel from Poonch side, people expected similar fate on Uri side. But that has not been the case.

{{/usCountry}}"Despite the tension, trade activities were going on as usual on LoC in Uri. Loaded trucks were travelling to and fro throughout this month," said Khawaja.
Goods worth Rs 19.92 crore were exchanged during this week at the Salamabad Trade Facilitation Centre in Uri sector, which witnessed the first round of ceasefire violations on January 06.
