DEV FAZAL, Sourabh, Rachit and Suraj have entered the last eight in the All India Junior Talent Series Tennis Tournament organised by Indore Tennis Club today.
In the under-12 boys' event, Dev Fazal of UP defeated Kahan Vasa of Gujarat by 6-4, 6-3, while Suraj Hariani beat Akshat Shah of Gujarat by 6-2 and 6-3. Yash Bhargawa beat Ashwin Soni by 6-2, 3-6 and 6-3 and Ankit Bendre of Gujarat beat Vishi Porwal by 6-0 and 6-3.
Tushar Manolekar of Chhattigarh defeated Rohan Saboo by 6-1 and 6-1, whereas Harshal Sethi of MP beat J Shah 6-1 and 6-4. Rohit Sarwate of AP defeated Akshay Malpani by 6-0 and 6-1 and Shailendra Kataria beat Sankalp Gandhi by 6-3 and 6-2.
In the under-14 boys' pre-quarterfinals, Sourabh Raghuvanshi and Rachit Sethia of MP, Arpit Sharma of Rajasthan, Rushi Amin and Suraj Kunwar of Gujarat and Saiyyam of Maharashtra won their respective matches to sail into the last eight.
In the under-14 girls' pre-quarterfinals, Aishwarya Agarwal, Avni Mittal, Pooja Kuesia (all from Indore) and Sambhavi Dixit of AP won their respective matches. All the quarterfinal matches would be played tomorrow.
