Devotees pay obeisance to Guru Gobind Singh

THE SIKH community celebrated the Prakashotsav of Guru Gobind Singh with piety and reverence, on Thursday. The Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sabha organised a programme on the occasion wherein devotees from various States attended the bhajans and gurubani paath and also paid obeisance to Guru Granth Sahib.

The Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sabha organised a programme on the occasion wherein devotees from various States attended the bhajans and gurubani paath and also paid obeisance to Guru Granth Sahib.

Devotees were seen thronging the Gurudwara Sahib since early morning.

After the Akhand Paath, discourses, lectures, recitation, ardas and langar were held at DSA ground. People belonging to different religions participated in the programmes.

A katha and kirtan were organised in the evening at Gurudwara Sahib in which several ragi jatthas participated. Gurinder Singh Komal and Subinder Singh Bhangu were invited from Chandigarh to take part in the event.

Students of Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa Girls’ Inter College presented a gurubani on the occasion.

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sabha president Joginder Singh proposed the vote of thanks.

Members of the Sikh community decorated their houses with earthen lamps in the evening to celebrate the occasion.

The Sikh Sangat of Allahabad celebrated the Prakashotsav at the Guru Nanak Ice Factory Civil Lines with much enthusiasm. Gurubani and langar were organised.

The pogramme was conducted by secretary Hardeep Singh Bhatia.
