With the dew expected to play a crucial role, winning the toss would be of vital importance in the second cricket one-dayer between India and the West Indies at the Barabati Stadium on Wednesday.
"It will not be akin to Nagpur, where the track looked tailor-made for 300 plus scores. A 250-plus score should be challenging," BCCI's Ground and Pitches Committee member Prabir Mukherjee said.
Asked about the dew factor, Mukherjee said "it seems it will be there. For the last two days dew has been a problem in the evening and night."
The only day-night ODI held so far here in November 2003, saw India losing to New Zealand by four wickets with home side skipper Rahul Dravid blaming the dew for the result and saying his spinners could not grip the ball properly.
If the dew factor indeed comes into play, the team winning the toss could well settle to bat first.
Orissa Cricket Association joint secretary Satya Mohanty said that a latest variety of the super sopper imported by the BCCI from Australia, would be pressed into service if needed.
