DHANVANTRI Thakur from Bhopal Central on Wednesday won the first position in the 10-km walking in the 45th MP Police sports meet. She completed the race in 1.23.09 seconds, while Sandhya Singh from Jabalpur East finished second. Her timings was 1.26.39 seconds.
The sports meet concluded on Wednesday. Various events were held on Wednesday. In hockey, Jabalpur North beat Indore West to win the title. In football final, Jabalpur SAF South defeated Gwalior North to win the title. In volleyball, Gwalior North won the title defeating Gwalior SAF North.
In basketball, Jabalpur SAF South beat Gwalior SAF North to win the championship. In Kabaddi, Jabalpur SAF South overpowered Gwalior SAF North. Indore West won the handball title beating SAF North Gwalior in the final.
Bhopal Central won the judo team championship, while Jabalpur East won the wrestling championship. In athletics, team championship (men) was won by Indore West, while the women’s team championship was won by Indore West. Athletic individual championship was won by Rupesh Thakur of Railway Police.
The weightlifting (men) team championship was won by Indore West, while the swimming team championship was won by Jabalpur SAF North. The individual swimming championship was won by Champalal from North Zone SAF, Gwalior.
