The ill-fated incident took place exactly one year before on Friday.

The victim's statement was recorded during in-camera proceedings before Additional Sessions Judge KC Lohia, where she supported the prosecution case of Katiyar being one of the four accused who allegedly forcibly intoxicated, and sexually assaulted her in a moving car in New Delhi last May.

The case comes up for hearing next on June 19, 2006.

Katiyar, the sole accused arrested in this case, has been charged with having committed the offences of gangrape, abduction, and intoxication with intent to commit offence, criminal intimidation and criminal conspiracy.

According to the charges framed by the court earlier, Katiyar, along with three co-accused who could not be arrested, conspired to gangrape a college student, in a moving car by intoxicating her and forcing her to illicit intercourse.

Katiyar (28), a driver with a private company, whose features were described by the victim, was picked up on May 13 last year from near the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border.

He was later pointed out by the victim as one of the culprits in a Test Identification Parade soon after he was arrested.
