Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh on Friday filed nomination from his traditional bastion Raghogarh constituency for the December 1 Assembly elections.

Singh, who will face main rival BJP General Secretary Shivraj Singh Chauhan in the battle of ballots, filed four sets of papers at the district election office in Guna in the presence of a large number of supporters and Congress leaders.

Prominent among those who accompanied him was his younger brother and Rajgarh MP Laxman Singh and state cabinet member Shivnarayan Meena.
A beaming Singh waved at the people who had gathered along the route of his motorcade as party workers and supporters carrying Congress flags and banners raised slogans amidst beating of drums.
