After the HC directive, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) agents positioned themselves ahead of the toll plaza to guide drivers to the lanes where DGSCL staff were collecting tax. This resulted in a huge jam at the toll plaza.

The court allowed toll collection at four lanes on one side. The corporation agents were seen struggling to sort out Delhi-bound commercial vehicles, approaching the toll plaza from Gurgaon.

“The SDMC personnel are sorting out vehicles ahead of the toll plaza, leading to jams. They should position themselves after the toll gates to check if commercial vehicles have paid the tax,” said a DGSCL spokesperson.

Confusion among commuters is due to the lack of information regarding the HC order, he added.
