What is it about Afridi that makes him the most dangerous bowler in the World Cup so far? He doesn't spin the ball like Warne, doesn't possess a googly like Mushtaq Ahmed or even a straighter one of Kumble's accuracy. Then why are most batsmen finding it difficult to get on top of his bowling?

Accuracy
Afridi is not your usual leg-spinner who's vulnerable to bowl loose balls every now and then. He doesn't turn the ball much and is smart enough to not try. He sticks to bowling as straight as possible and banks on the batsman to do something.

Change of pace
Afridi doesn't believe in tossing the ball up in the air expecting the ball to drift or dip as it approaches the batsman, instead he tries to bowl flat with variation in pace.

Angle
Afridi mainly bowls from the corner of the crease, which allows him to fire the ball in and gives the impression of the ball drifting into the right handed batsman.
