Diwali remained a safe affair in Rohtak
No major burn injuries were reported at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) here on Diwali. Besides, there was no major fire tragedy reported in the district, as the administration had made arrangements to counter any untoward situation.

However, the sale of fire crackers at designated places - Jat College ground, CR Polytechnic ground, near old bus stand, old Industrial Training Institute (ITI) ground and CR stadium - were told be in crores. Mostly teenagers kept thronging the fire cracker stalls till late evening on Sunday.
The district has five fire cracker factories - one at Julana and two each at Brahmanwas and on Kaccha Chamaria road.
PGIMS medical superintendent Dr Ashok Kumar Chauhan said: "On Diwali, the emergency services were prepared to deal with burn injuries but, fortunately, no major case was reported this time."
