The bath began in the wee hours and continued till the evening. Devotees also offered diyas at the river in the evening. Most of the visitors then paid a visit to the traditional Kartik Fair organised by the Ujjain Municipal Corporation.
On offer at the fair are different varieties of sweets and ‘namkin’ and much more. Elaborate security arrangements were made at the Ramghat and at the fair site to maintain order.

However, one Bhuralal (20) son of Amar Singh, resident of village Gunawad in Dhar district, fell into the river. He was rescued by divers and sent to the hospital where his condition is said to be serious.
