"A bullet pierced through the right knee of Aggarwal. He will be operated upon, after we asses his condition. The SSP was caught in stone-pelting. There is some internal bleeding. He also needs to be operated upon," said Mahesh Sharma, MD of the hospital.

Sannil Kapoor, deputy medical superintendent of Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida, said, "Two PAC men were brought to our hospital. They were declared brought dead. They had sustained bullet wounds. Besides, five PAC men and policemen, who suffered injuries in stone-pelting, have been discharged."

"Aggarwal has sustained one bullet. A lot of bleeding had taken place by the time he was brought to the hospital. We're taking all steps to ensure fast improvement in his health. Overall, he is fine," said Kapoor.
