The agitated students stayed away from the out patient department (OPD) and general wards of Sir Sunderlal Hospital to voice their concern against the alleged atrocities of Dr NK Singh.

They alleged that the postgraduate students registered under Dr NK Singh were being forced to satisfy his domestic and financial deeds.

Failing to get their demands entertained, the agitated doctors led by Dr Vikram Singh alleged that there was a nexus between BHU authorities and Dr NK Singh and that was why the BHU authorities did not remove Dr NK Singh.

“Perhaps the top authorities of BHU too get some share from the illegal income of Dr NK Singh and that was why no action was taken against him till now,” the doctors alleged.

“We demand thorough inquiry against Dr Singh, removal from his present position and also punishment in terms of paying compensation to the poor patients who were compelled to spend hefty amount in Dr Singh’s favourite clinics,” the residents demanded.

The agitated residents had also forwarded the letter to the Union Human Resource and Development Ministry, National Human Rights Commission, Director of IMS and Dean of IMS to take note of their demands.

Dr Vikram Singh said that they had convened a meeting on Friday night to chalk out the future course of their agitation.

The vice-chancellor could not be contacted despite repeated attempts whereas other authorities denied commenting on the issue.
