Doda faces terror threat

In a bid to disrupt the fourth phase of polling on May 10 in sensitive Doda Lok Sabha constituency in Jammu and Kashmir, top terrorist commanders have asked their cadres to trigger explosions and target politicians, poll workers and security personnel, according to intelligence intercepts.

Top commanders of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islam (HuJI) and HMPPR have told their cadres to go for joint actions to disrupt rallies and polls in Doda, Udhampur and Kathua districts, defence sources said.

Anti-poll posters have also come up in Chatroo, Gandoh, Baleesa, Gool, Banihal and remote places in past few days, warning people to keep away from polls or face death.
