A dog is generally considered to be man's best friend, but in this case it was a donkey!
The animal fell ill after learning that its master had died, which eventually led the neighbours to find the dead man's body.
"The residents of Orangi town near Karachi discovered the body of a manon Friday evening," reported the Daily Times.
According to the paper, 35-year-old Murtaza, a donkey-cart rider, was found hanging from his ceiling fan.
The residents told the Mominabad police that the donkey had been hale and hearty just the night before, but in the morning was found unconscious outside Murtaza's house in Al-Fatah Colony.
Later investigations revealed that Murtaza's wife Khurshida had gone to her house with their children after a fight with him, as a result of which Murtaza committed suicide.
