Many of the winning candidates from the constituents of the Democratic Progressive Alliance in Tamil Nadu, on Friday called on DMK President M Karunanidhi.

It was described as a "courtsey" call, by party sources.

Several newly elected Congress MPs, including KV Thangkabalu, Danushkodi Adithan, NSV Chittan, JM Haroon called on Karunanidhi.
Former MP Era Anbarasu was also among those who met the DMK chief.
From PMK, R Velu and AK Moorthy were among those who called on Karunanidhi.
The DMK has demanded that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minster J Jayalalithaa should respect the mandate of the people of the state and resign. The AIADMK-led front failed to get a single seat in the state.
