DPC zeroes in on 6 officers

THE DEPARTMENTAL Promotion Committee (DPC) meetings to induct five officers of State Administration Service (SAS) and one of other services into Indian Administration Service (IAS) were held in New Delhi on Monday.

Detailed discussions were held on the names of 15 SAS officers who were in the zone of consideration for induction into IAS. With this the long wait for over a dozen officers of the State Administrative Services (SAS), who are desperately waiting for their inclusion, is going to end soon. Similarly, discussions were also held on the names of five officers of other services.

According to sources, the fate of five SAS officers and one officer of other services has been kept in a sealed envelope and they have to wait further for completion of some formalities before being inducted into the elite service.

SAS officers under consideration include Rajaram Batham, Shashi Karnawat, Kedar Sharma, Santosh Mishra, S Suhail Ali, Yogendra Sharma, N P Daheriya, Rajni Uike, Kavindra Kiyawat, M K Agrawal, Sunita Tripathi, Manohar Dubey, Renu Pant, T C Mahaor and S N Rupla.
