Sporting a grey cap, pink shirt and a leather jacket, multi crore-kidney scam accused Dr Amit Kumar was produced in the court at 12.15 pm amid tight security. The court proceeding lasted only for about 10 minutes in all.

The global illegal kidney transplant accused was sent in CBI custody by a Tis Hazri court in Delhi on February 10 after his arrest in Nepal on February 6. He was arrested from a guesthouse near the Indo- Nepal border.

An FIR was lodged at Palam Vihar Police Station at Gurgaon on January 27 and after knowing the enormity of the scam, the state government had handed over the case to CBI. Dr Amit Kumar was booked under sections 326, 342, 420 of the IPC and Human Organs Transplant Act 1994.

Sources said Dr Upinder, Dr Jeewan, Pooja and other accused in the case would also be produced here.
