Vice-captain Rahul Dravid on Sunday declined to comment on the omission of VVS Laxman from the Indian squad for the upcoming three-match one-day series against Bangladesh.

"No comments, no comments. I have come here for a totally different purpose," Dravid told reporters on the sidelines of a function in Bangalore.

Dravid, who is the brand ambassador for Karnataka Tourism, earlier inaugurated the nuclear therapy unit at Manipal Hospital in Bangalore.
The national selectors had said Laxman was being "rested" while announcing the one-day squad in Kolkata earlier this week. The Hyderabad Cricket Association reacted strongly to the player's omission and has demanded an explantion from the selectors for the omission of Laxman from the squad.
