Stampede like situation was witnessed at the campus of a government school at Phulwarisharif in the Bihar capital where people jostled with each other to have a close look at 'dream girl' Hema Malini, who had come here to campaign for BJP.

District administration and the BJP volunteers had a hard time controlling an impatient crowd which had thronged the venue in large numbers.

When she arrived at the venue more than two hours late, the crowd turned wild trying to come near the dais. The frenzied crowd kept on shouting as long as she remained there.

Malini, who recently joined the saffron party, talked politics but people were apparently more interested in hearing about her film experience.

Malini, the hearthrob of scores of cine lovers, however concentrated on issues like Bihar's development and lamented the poor condition of roads in the state.

"The roads in Bihar with full of potholes are really in horrible condition. I had a bumpy ride on the roads in the state," Malini said contradicting a reported statement made in past by RJD supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav that roads in Bihar were "as smooth as the cheeks of Hema Malini".

The film actress-turned BJP leader also deplored the sad condition of women in the state.

Taking cue from her latest hit movie 'Bagwan', she said "Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is the bagwan of the country, who is doing everything to keep it blossoming. Today Vajpayee is rated as a great leader not only in India but in the world."
