Drew Barrymore's pooch is her bosom pal

The actress' pet dog Flossie saved her from fire while she was fast asleep in her mansion.

Hollywood beauty Drew Barrymore's best friend is her pet pooch, who saved her from the clutches of death when her house caught fire.

The sexy star revealed that she and her then fiance Tom Green were fast asleep in their Beverly Hills mansion when it caught fire in the early hours of the morning. It was at that moment that Drew's faithful dog, Flossie, ran upstairs and banged on the couple's bedroom door with its tail until they woke up.

"I'm not afraid of anything anymore. I remember I woke up in bed at home, and the house was on fire. My dog woke me up and saved my life," the actress was quoted by Femalefirst, as saying.

"The only thing I could think of saving was my animals, nothing else mattered," she added.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old former wild child claims she likes nothing more than staying in and playing board games with friends.
