Kopi Luwak is actually made from two words; Kopi means coffee and Luwak refers to Asian Palm Civet also known as a Toddy Cat. This cat (not literally) is famous for eating only the ripest and sweetest red coffee berries, indigenous to south-east Asia, but he cant digest them.
Kopi Luwak is the rarest beverage in the world. The most pronounced characteristic of this coffee is a marked reduction in bitterness.
