The police told the court that during interrogation Kahlon had revealed that he had hidden 12 packets of heroin at a deserted place in his native Jandu Singh Wala village in Jalandhar district, which needed to be recovered.

Kahlon's lawyer opposed police's plea seeking extension in his police remand, saying the police wanted to implicate his client in a false case. The lawyer requested the court to get his client medically examined as he was being tortured physically. The police told the court that Kahlon's medical examination is done daily. The court ordered the police to get Kahlon medically examined and submit a report with copy of medico-legal report to the court of area magistrate by 10 am on Thursday.

Meanwhile, another suspect Sunil Kumar, a resident of Ludhiana, was presented in an Amloh court, where he was remanded in police custody till March 15.
