‘Drunk’ woman rams Audi into auto, victim goes missing

In a hit-and-run incident on Sunday night, a speeding Audi car rammed into an auto-rickshaw on Sohna Road near the South City 2 crossing, seriously injuring the 25-year-old auto driver.

In a hit-and-run incident on Sunday night, a speeding Audi car rammed into an auto-rickshaw on Sohna Road near the South City 2 crossing, seriously injuring the 25-year-old auto driver.

The police are yet to record the statement of the victim, Shiv Shankar, and register a case.

Eyewitnesses said a woman was driving the Audi, with a man seated in the front passenger seat and a girl on the backseat. Eyewitnesses have also claimed that three bottles of beer were thrown out of the car before the Audi driver fled fuelling speculation that the occupants were drunk. The police claimed to have recovered the bottles from the site.

Eyewitnesses said the incident took place around 11 pm.

"The speeding car was coming from the direction of Rajiv Chowk and it hit the auto which was taking U-turn at the crossing. The auto was coming from Badshahpur," said an eyewitness.

The auto-driver, reportedly a resident of Ayanagar in Delhi, is missing from Paras Hospital in Sector 43, where he was shifted to from another private hospital. Initial investigations have revealed that the car owner is a resident of Vatika City.
