A plethora of subject and college choices await DU aspirants as they gear up to fill and submit the pre-admission forms on Thursday. DU has established 16 centres which will sell forms across the city.
Meanwhile, Youth for Equality will be setting up counters at these centres where they will address admission related queries and also distribute anti- reservation pamphlets.
“We want to garner more support from students on this issue,” said a student. Students will be given the option of choosing colleges of their choice and this is unlimited as compared to earlier where they had to choose only 10 colleges and 8 subjects, in the erstwhile ICR forms.
The pre-admission form has two sheets and the second sheet is a carbonless copy. The university has introduced OMR format whereby students will have to select the college and course of their liking by darkening the appropriate circle.

“It has to be ensured that blue or black pens are used for making the appropriate markings. We will not accept any form without the second sheet,” said a DU official. “Students must first practice on a specimen form and then fill the original.
"The form is required to be filled without detaching the carbonless copy. The copy will be detached, duly stamped and returned to the student as acknowledgement at the time of submission at the designated university admission centre.”
The form must not be crumpled or folded and no additional marks should be mentioned unless required.
