Hearing the news of Anna's arrival, scores of his followers made a beeline along the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, the route he took to enter the city. Many of them assembled outside the hospital at Rajiv Chowk in Sector 38, wearing the popular Anna cap and waving tri-colours.

It took about 30 minutes for the 74-year-old activist to enter the hospital from its main gate as his followers disrupted his way in order to have his glimpse.

Anna arrived here in a Toyota Innova car along with Dr Naresh Trehan, the founder of Medanta-The Medicity. Team Anna's key members Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia also accompanied him to the hospital.

About 11.30 am, when Hazare's convoy reached the toll plaza, supporters blocked the road and police had to ask the Expressway authorities to spare a dedicated lane for Anna's cavalcade.
