We’ve all been through times we had a crush on someone but weren’t sure if they liked us, and so moved on out of hesitation and fear of rejection. A first-year IIT Guwahati student finally has a Valentine’s solution. Piyush Bengani has come up with Crush.hitherto.in, a website through which users can anonymously list their crush from school, college, neighbourhood and work, and know if the feelings are two-sided.

It’s only when two users add each other to their ‘crushlist’ that each is notified about their crush on the other. In case one of the users ignores such a ‘crush mail’ or adds a different crush to his or her list, the identity of the ‘unliked’ crush stays protected. “A lot of my friends didn’t have the courage to approach a girl so I decided to help them,” says Bengani.

Youngsters like the new V-Day idea. “It feels awkward to share your feelings with your crush so I’ll definitely try this out,” says Seema Pahuja, DU student.
