A two-member team comprising the Commission's officials J Rao and Ananth Kumar stopped their vehicles at several places under Sonepur assembly segment of the constituency on way to Chapra from Patna and walked down to villagers leaving the state officials and securitymen accompanying them behind to inquire about the situation during the polling day on April 26.

While people at Gangajal tried to impress upon the members of the poll panel that the polling was peaceful, voters at Bharpura, hardly five km from Gangajal, complained that the district administration was unfair and attempted to rig the elections in favour of RJD boss Laloo Prasad Yadav.

The commission officials also alighted from their vehicle at Sitaganj and Dumri where a group of RJD supporters sitting on dharna alleged that the BJP activists prevented them from voting and captured the booths.
