EC notice to CPI(M) MP

The Election Commission on Thursday issued a notice to CPI(M) MP Bangsagopal Chowdhury on the office-of-profit issue.

Chowdhury has been given three weeks time to reply to the notice, EC sources said.

Besides Chowdhury, Roy has lodged similar complaints against nine other CPI(M) MPs including Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee.
