Two government employees have been suspended for allegedly supporting a BJP candidate contesting from the Shimoga Lok Sabha seat, official sources said.

Narasimha Murthy and R Anjaneya were placed under suspension by Shimoga Returning officer and Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pande for their alleged support to BY Raghavendra, son of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, during his campaign,the sources said.

The two were found to violated the rules of Karnataka Civil Service Regulation Code (KCSR) and action was initiated as per the Election Commission’s instructions,the sources added.
