Eco-tourism service for Kharmor sighting

STATE Forest Department will launch an eco-tourism bus service from September 3 to facilitate tourist?s trips for those wishing to visit Sailana Kharmor Sanctuary and nearby tourist places in Ratlam district. The bus will cover Sailana Sanctuary, Sailana Cactus Garden and Kedareshwar Temple.

STATE Forest Department will launch an eco-tourism bus service from September 3 to facilitate tourist’s trips for those wishing to visit Sailana Kharmor Sanctuary and nearby tourist places in Ratlam district. The bus will cover Sailana Sanctuary, Sailana Cactus Garden and Kedareshwar Temple.

Forests Minister Himmat Kothari will inaugurate the eco-tourism bus service from Circuit House, Ratlam on September 2 at 9.30 a.m. From September 3, the bus will ply regularly from Circuit House, Ratlam from 2.30 p.m.

According to an official release today, commencing from Circuit House the bus will reach Cactus Garden via Sailana, Kedareshwar Temple, Sailana Sanctuary, Shikarwadi and the trip will end at Circuit House.

Fare for the 20-seater bus trip has been fixed at Rs 25 per passenger. Tourists will also be extended advance reservation facility at divisional forest office, Sagod road, Ratlam.

Facility of telescope to watch the rare bird ‘Kharmor’ at Shikarwadi will also be made available to tourists. Tourists will be given stickers carrying the ‘Kharmor’ bird picture free of cost.
