Ed Joyce has been an important part of Middlesex's middle-order since his debut in 1999. Joyce was a star for Ireland at ICC Trophy level, scoring 758 runs in 14 matches between 2001 and 2005, at an average of 84.22.
In the 2005 tournament he was invaluable to the cause, racking up two hundreds and two more fifties in five innings, to ensure qualification for the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean.
Recovering fast from his ankle-injury, Joyce has sparked a timely resurgence for himself, allowing his selection in the ICC Champions Trophy squad.
