GODDESS OF learning Saraswati holds not just a book but also ‘vina’ signifying the importance of entertainment forming an essential accompaniment to education, said Information Officer (Bhopal) Dr Vijay Agrawal at the local Press Information Bureau (PIB) yesterday.
Dr Vijay Agrawal was speaking to media persons about his recently published book ‘Padho To Ayese Padho’. Dr Agrawal said that education by becoming increasingly competitive has lost its simplicity and taken the students away from nature.
The parents in today’s generation have become paranoid and wished to see their unrealised dreams fulfilled by their wards. This tendency has had a negative impact on children, he said.
This scenario has overburdened the children and removed the most preciously cherished period of childhood from daily routine. Although many books have been written on how to study, Dr Agrawal claimed that this book is different in the sense that the smaller aspects that usually go unnoticed have been presented in great detail allowing any reader of average intelligence to progress in small steps through the chapters until he comes to realise what the author actually wished to convey.
Dr Agrawal, who has previously authored 75 books in both Hindi and English, mentioned that he turned from the mundane subjects towards the realisation of life and his future books would relate to more complex issues dealt in a simple way.
