Large number of Muslims dressed in traditional attire gathered on Tuesday at the Idgah Maidan in Nashik to offer mass prayers marking the festival of Eid ul-Azha.

Nashik Mayor Vinayak Pandey, Deputy Mayor Ajay Boraste, collectors from various districts, political leaders and prominent citizens wished their Muslim brothers on the occasion.

Police has tightened security at sensitive points. Nashik Municipal Corporation has given permission for setting up of makeshift slaughter-houses.
Local Muslim spiritual leaders have urged people to celebrate the festival in a simple manner in view of the terror attack in Mumbai on November 26.
