Eight accused of two murders being grilled

THE MURDER and dacoity case of Khajarana Thana and the blind-murder case of a waiter Dilip committed at VIP Dhaba more than eight years back has been reopened and the eight accused of these murders and dacoity are being interrogated by crime branch of police.

THE MURDER and dacoity case of Khajarana Thana and the blind-murder case of a waiter Dilip committed at VIP Dhaba more than eight years back has been reopened and the eight accused of these murders and dacoity are being interrogated by crime branch of police.

Talking to Hindustan Times over the phone, DSP crime branch Anil Mishra said that a waiter Dilip was stabbed by four assaulters at VIP Dhaba in the jurisdiction of Bhavarkuan police station after consuming liquor in 1997. The waiter died but the case was closed in the absence of witnesses.

Now the case has been reopened and the four accused are being interrogated by crime branch of police. The four accused are Guddu Maratha who is in Ujjain jail, Vishnu Maratha, Brigendra and Rajit Puri. One of the accused Gopal is dead.

Similarly, there was a case of dacoity and murder in the jurisdiction of Khajarana police station in 1996 in which Abdul Malik was murdered and Rs 4 lakh were looted from the residence of Malik.

The DSP maintained that the final picture would become clear by tomorrow after the interrogation is over.
