Eight persons were feared killed and several others injured when a matador skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Kara Gandoh in Doda district.

Eight persons were feared killed and several others injured when a matador skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Kara Gandoh in Doda district on Saturday.

The matador, which was on its way from Thathri to Gandoh, fell into the gorge while negotiating a curve around 1300 hours, police said.

Rescue teams have rushed to the area to rescue the injured. The divisional administration of Jammu has also sent a helicopter to the area to bring the seriously injured here for treatment.
