Six persons, including a child, were killed when their car rammed into a stationary oil-tanker on the Pune-Bangalore National Highway at Bankapur cross near Shiggaon in neighbouring Haveri district, police said.

In another accident, two iron-ore laden vehicles collided with each other on the Hubli-Karwar National Highway, killing two persons, police said.
