Eight Maoists accused of killing two persons, including a CRPF jawan, have been arrested, police said on Wednesday.

The Maoists were picked up for questioning two days ago. They were produced before a court on Wednesday which remanded them to judicial custody for two weeks.

They were identified as Harinath Singh, Sankar Singh, Asanku Singh, Sabinder Singh, Krishna Chandra Saha, Debunath Singh, Dudha Oram, and Rade Singh, all natives of Karda village in Bonai sub-division.
The arrested Maoists have been accused of killing two persons, including a CRPF jawan, besides looting electronic voting machines from Kard polling booth in the last Assembly polls and disrupting traffic on NH-23, police said.
