While ruling INLD has fielded State DGP (on leave) M S Malik's wife Krishna Malik from Sonepat, Congress has shifted old loyalist Selja to Ambala (SC) Lok Sabha seat from Sirsa.

Rohtak Parliamentary Constituency witnesses an interesting contest where leader of the opposition in Haryana assembly Bhupinder Singh Hooda (Congress) faces his estranged daughter-in-law Geeta Grewal (BSP). Usha Ahlawat (HVP) and Bimla (BRP) too are in the fray from Rohtak.

Sudha Yadav of the BJP is seeking re-election from Mahendegrarh Parliamenary constituency, while Premo of the Federal Congress of India has jumped in the fray from Karnal.

Raj Devi Jangra is contesting as an Independent candidate from Bhiwani.

No woman has been given ticket or is contesting as an Independent from Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Hisar and Faridabad Parliamentary constituencies.
