Addressing a public gathering at mini stadium here during the Parivartan rally organised by district party president Sukh Dev Sharma, Sayeed said he could predict "a movement of change" in 2014, and urged the workers to lead the movement in the forthcoming Parliament and assembly elections scheduled next year.

Sayeed said, "I foresee the citizens, particularly the youth, leading the movement for change in Jammu and Kashmir during 2014 elections to take the functionaries of the present dispensation to task, not only for their actions but inaction as well."

He alleged that the government had brought political chaos, rampant corruption, administrative anarchy in the state.

Terming the PDP regime as a golden period, Mufti reminded that PDP had delivered good, effective and pro-people governance in the state. Calling upon the people to compare the three-year tenure of the government headed by him with decades long mis-governance of successive National Conference (NC) regimes, the PDP patron "regretted that present NC-Congress coalition had crossed all limits of corruption".

"The PDP was running a coalition with Congress, but it was result of the conviction and sincerity of the state government that the then BJP led NDA regime at the Centre provided all possible assistance for the development of the state during that period," added Sayeed.

PDP is the only alternative before the people of Jammu and Kashmir because agenda of this party is formulated by accommodating aspirations of all sections of the society .Calling upon the workers to gear up and strengthen the hands of the PDP so as to form the next government, he said that the first step towards this would be ensuring the success of the party's candidate from Udhampur-Doda constituency.

Describing party candidate Arshad Malik as a tall, seasoned and true mass leader, Sayeed said that he had done tremendous work for the welfare and development of the people in the state.
