Eleven killed in Himachal Pradesh bus accident

Police says the driver lost control of the overcrowded private bus that was moving towards Mandi in driving rain and thick fog.

Eleven people were killed and 26 injured in Himachal Pradesh when a bus slipped off a mountain road and fell into a 200 feet gorge.

The accident took place late on Monday near Gohar in Mandi district, 180 km from Shimla.

Police said the driver lost control of the overcrowded private bus that was moving towards Mandi in driving rain and thick fog.
