The Valentine's Day star is expected to replace Ashley Greene who was to play lead role, Jill Kessler, as negotiations with her have now fallen, reports contactmusic.com.

Even though, it is not clear whom she would be replacing, Roberts is quite excited about being part of it.

"I'm so excited to be part of this ground-breaking franchise. It's the perfect opportunity for me to do something completely different than I've ever done before," said Roberts.

The film has been written by Kevin Williamson and will be directed by Wes Craven.
