Finance Officer of DDU university sacked
THE WORKING committee members of DDU Gorakhpur University decided to sack Finance Officer (FO) SP Singh from his post in an emergency meeting convened by the vice-chancellor Prof Arun Kumar on Wednesday.
After a marathon meeting, the members of working committee constituted a four-member committee to probe the charges of financial irregularities against FO and restored all the facilities of the employees.
V-C Prof Arun Kumar has nominated Prof Kaushal Kumar as a new FO, who took over the charge of his office on Thursday.
It was noteworthy that members of University Employees Association were on strike since past one week.
This has hit the normal functioning in the university. The regular teaching was also hampered due to strike.
Taking the cognisance, the V-C Prof Arun Kumar has convened a meeting of working committee, which decided that the facilities provided to the employees in 2001 would be continued.
It is notable that sacked FO SP Singh had withdrawn all the facilities of the employees provided by the working committee, which generated serious resentment among the employees.

{{/usCountry}}A probe committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of working committee member Indubhushan Srivastav. Dr Ramashanker Rai, Dr Ganesh Pandey and Siddharth Priya Srivastav would be the members of the committee.
With this development, the ongoing strike of the employees came to an end on Thursday.
The sacked FO always remained in news for his arbitrary attitude and incident of scuffle with head of the department of Journalism, RD Rai.
