Engineer, 2 others kidnapped in Bihar

It is still not clear whether they were kidnapped by the various dacoit gangs operating in the area or the Maoist rebels.

Three persons, including an engineer, were kidnapped from a village in Bihar's West Champaran district on Wednesday, police said.

Prakash Chandra Dwivedi, engineer of the Barauni Oil Refinery and two others Manoj Kumar Roy and Manoj Kumar, were taken away by unidentified persons from Chauki village under Ram Nagar police station.

It is still not clear whether they were kidnapped by the various dacoit gangs operating in the area or the Maoist rebels.

Superintendent of Police Baldev Prasad led a contingent of district armed police to comb the area along with personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
